A weekly fresh produce market
The Community Food Market provides an opportunity for anyone in the community to have access to fresh foods including fruits and vegetables at reduced prices.
When people shop for fruits and vegetables at the Community Food Market, their money goes further than it would at a grocery store and they can head home with loads of fresh ingredients to prepare healthy meals. Where: Limbrick Resource Centre, Unit 97

A prescription for fruits and veggies? The Market Greens Rx program was created to make it easier for people with diet related health challenges living on low incomes to access fresh fruits and vegetables. Eligible participants will receive $10-25 per week (based on the number of people in your family) for 15 weeks, which can be used to buy fresh fruit and vegetables at the Community Food Market. Participants can continue to shop year-round at the market for healthy, seasonal produce. Referrals for a prescription are in partnership with the NorWest Community Health Centres by a Registered Dietitian.
