Roots to Harvest Presents: Garden Planning For Success with professional organic farmers
This 4-part, 8-hour gardening series will introduce beginning and intermediate gardeners to the steps to successful vegetable gardening. Participants will learn how to lay out their garden to maximize yield, understand the nutritional needs of both plants and soil, and gain insight to selecting plant varieties that are right for them.
The course will be led by local organic farmers Brendan Grant & Marcelle Paulin of Sleepy G Farm. Through their real life experience growing vegetables for a living, they will guide you through the steps, from planning to harvest, that will help you make your gardening year a success.
Each class will include a hands-on activity, as well as a simple homework assignments, designed to help you generate your own detailed garden plan.
Date: March 21, 28, April 4 & 11, 2019
Time: 7-9 pm each evening
Cost: $125 plus tax
Where: TBD (either our office or a classroom at Superior CVI)
