Tips for Applicants
Applying for job with Roots to Harvest (or any job really?) Here are some things to consider as you prepare your resume and cover letter!
SHOW US that you have what we’re looking for (qualifications) and the ability to do a great job (skills). Make sure you tell us about your experience
Help us be organized.
PLEASE:
- SURF our website and READ the job description closely.
- BE selective about the jobs that you put on your resume! We want to know about your volunteer and work experience that is relevant to the job you’re applying for. Tell us about your experience working with youth & building community. Also, show us you are interested in working with people primarily, then you can touch on any relevant food experience.
- DO NOT send us the same cover letter that you send to every other job you are applying for. Sending a generic application tells us that you are just looking for a job.We want to hire people who are excited about what we do! Your cover letter should tell us that you know what we do, and that you’re enthusiastic about working with us!
