Susan really loves making a difference in her community. She returned to Thunder Bay after a 20 year tour of Nunavut and eastern Canada and experienced life in northern and rural Canada. She loves to work with plants and food and has a strong passion for sustainable local food systems. A decade of crawling around on the tundra picking berries, fishing and harvesting caribou gave her a deep appreciation of the value of traditional food harvesting practices and the positive impact they have on food security in Northern regions. When she's not thinking about food, you can find her on local trails with my happy sled dogs or at a local bog.
