Workshops

Urban Beekeeping

This weekend-long course is targeted at beginner and intermediate beekeepers. Participants will learn about proper hive management, pest management, honey production, hive health, handling techniques, seasonal care and more from local bee expert, Barry Tabor. 

SPRING 2022 - 2 days (one weekend)
May 28th - 9:30 am - 4:00 pm
May 29th - 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

vided.

Garden Like a Boss

This in-person AND synchronous online (you choose) 2-part, 7-hour gardening series led by Sleepy G Farm will introduce beginning and intermediate gardeners to the steps to successful  vegetable gardening. Participants will learn how to lay out their garden to maximize yield, understand the nutritional needs of both plants and soil, and gain insight to selecting plant varieties that are right for them.

​2022 Dates are April 10th and April 24th from 1 - 4:30 pm each day.

Saving Seeds

Are you interested in saving your own seeds each year?  If yes, come learn about seed saving from local growers and Superior Seed Producer members Evalisa McIllfaterick and JoAnne Henderson. They will teach us how to save seeds for lettuce, beans, peas, radishes, and more!  A wealth of knowledge will be shared through videos and demonstrations followed by Q and A.
